Brian Luft joined University Advancement as Director of Development, Athletics in 2001. He brings 24 years of experience in athletic fundraising. As director of regional development, in the Pacific Northwest, Luft is responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive plan for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects. He has a passion for advancing the renewal of Catholic education and creating options for families with a focus on the classical curriculum.
He comes to LMU from USC where he was an Assistant Athletics Director for Development. Prior to this, he successfully created and implemented a new venture for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the entertainment industry and was a fifth-round draft pick of the New York Jets in 1985. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California. In his free time, Luft enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, working out, and honing his D.I.Y. skill.
